Tryst  is the annual technical festival of the  Indian Institute of Technology Delhi , held in February and March. The festival is the largest technical fest of North India with a huge footfall of more than 45,000 people around the globe. Shri Prakash Javadekar , Union Human Resource Development Minister, inaugurated the world’s largest digital national building initiative  “Smart India Hackathon 2017”  on November 9, 2016, by handing over a torch to technology students over the country. Smart India Hackathon 2017, will enable the  HRD ministry  to reach out to all technology institutions in India and challenge students to work out innovative solutions to some of the difficult problems faced by the nation. 25 different ministries and government departments  have come together for supporting this massive initiative.
